Kampaně Deep Green Resistance

Aby život na Zemi přežil, musíme jednat na jeho obranu. Toto je důvod, proč Deep Green Resistance organizuje akce pro konfrontaci s mocenskými strukturami - patriarchátem, kapitalismem a civilizací - zodpovědnými z velké části za ničení Země a lidí.

Jako nadzemní organizace jsou naše přímé akce striktně omezeny na nenásilnou občanskou neposlušnost. Dodržujeme bezpečnost mezi našimi členy a všemi skupinami nebo jednotlivci, kteří se mohou účastnit na podzemních akcích. Pro vysvětlení, proč je toto nutné, navštivte naši stránku o Bezpečnosti.

We are in Phase I of our operations as an aboveground organization, which means we are focused on networking, mobilization, and recruitment. Before our aims can grow and take on larger targets, we need a solid foundation—an organization and community that can be resilient and adaptive. From there, we move to Phase II.

Akční priority DGR

Solidarita s domorodými lidmi

Jsme na straně domorodých lidí, kteří se snaží zachovat a rozšířit tradiční způsoby života. Jsme si vědomi toho, že mnozí z nás žijí na ukradené půdě.

Feminismus

Ženský správní klub vede boj proti násilím mužů, dominanci a jejich nárokům. Muži v DGR pracují na odstranění mužství, zlepšování osobního chování a systematiky bojují proti patriarchátu.

Antirasimus

Správní klub barevných lidí vede boj proti bělošské nadřazenosti, institucionalizovaného rasismu a rasovému násilí. Běloši v DGR pracují na podpoře tohoto úsilí, bojují s internalizací rasismu a odstraňují systémy bělošské nadřazenosti.

Vzdělávání v odporu

Věříme ve strategickou nutnost vzdělávání, které se zaměřuje na transformaci materiálních podmínek. Například knihy DGR jsou snahou o vzdělávání, ale v konečném důsledku je to výzva pro přímou konfrontaci s mocí. Podporujeme strategický odpor prostřednictvím komunitního vzdělávání, veřejného vystupování, videa a jakékoliv další metody, která může být užitečná.

Obnovení krajiny

Zemědělství je proces, který udržuje civilizaci. To je destrukcí, kterou je třeba opravit. Kousku po kousku živých komunit lesů, palouků a mokřadů musí být umožněno vrátit se domů. Největší nadějí pro naši planetu je jejich obnova. Stálé rostliny vybudují půdu, a uhlík se stane jejich základním kamenem. Obnova by měla být hlavním cílem environmentálního hnutí. Členové DGR a členské organizace pracují na obnově půdy, kdykoliv a kdekoliv je takové úsilí možné.

Přímá akce

Zapojujeme se do nadzemních kampaní, které využívají jakýkoliv taktik, které budou nejefektivnější v dané situaci (v rámci komunitního organizování a nenásilné přímé akce po legislativní změny a kolektivní podporu). Jsme seznáme s tím, že s ohledem na čas a čísla, které máme, nadzemní práce nebudou stačit pro odstranění civilizace, kapitalismu, bílé nadřazenosti, patriarchátu a dalších systémů represivní moci.

Podpora podzemního odporu

Soustředíme všechny naše práce na potřebu militantní podzemí akce, aby byla rozebrána infrastruktura tohoto systému a zastaveni pachatele před pokračováním svých zločinů. Pracujeme na vybudování kultury, která normalizuje a podporuje militantní odpor.

DGR members from across Canada and the US bring donations of cash and materials to the Unis'tot'en Camp. They help shovel snow, split wood, cook, clean, improve the root cellar, construct a compost toilet, fix vehicles, walk the trapline, and more.

DGR adopts new bylaws with a new organizational structure

DGR Slovenia and friends dub a German anti-fracking film into Slovenian.

DGR Lower Columbia organizes Washougal River habitat restoration.

February 2014

Multiple members present at PIELC 2014, including Lierre Keith as a keynote speaker.

Eugene, Lower Columbia, and Salish Sea chapters host events featuring Guy McPherson and DGR speakers on Climate Chaos & Resistance to Ecocide.

DGR Austalia member tours the Philippines with the Mobile Anarchist School. She speaks at universities, infoshops, a farmer's forum and many other locations about the need for a serious resistance movement.

DGR Colorado member creates Stop Thinning Forests website, to inform landowners and counteract the misinformation propagated by the Forest Service and industry.

March 2014

Members of DGR UK present at and participate in Resisting Together.

DGR Autralia puts on "Turn the System Inside Out" workshop.

Portions of the website translated into ten languages, including Russian, German, and Arabic.

April 2014

DGR New York remains active with monthly meetings and a monthly prisoner support group. This month, the chapter also hosts Guy McPherson speaking on "Climate Chaos."

DGR members from Chicago and elsewhere organize Earth Day fundraiser for the Bad River Tribe opposition to the largest open pit mine in the world.

Multiple members participate in the spring Unis'tot'en Camp.

DGR EUMENA particpates in International Permaculture Day with Food Freedom: An Integral Perspective.

DGR members and other radical feminists hold RadFems Respond

DGR Southwest Coalition holds a regional gathering, doing riparian restoration work and screening Sweet Crude as part of their activity.

Members help organize and participate in a Sacred Water Tour of eastern Nevada and western Utah, as part of resistance to water theft.

DGR UK member presents Diversity of Tactics workshop at Campaign Against Climate Change conference.

Members from across North America participate in the summer Unis'tot'en Camp, helping to build infrastructure for their long-term pipeline blockade.

Members gather from around the world to participate in the third annual DGR conference, held this year in New York.

DGR New York teams with author and activist Chris Hedges to present "Creating Strategies for Revolution", also featuring members of Autonomous Indigenous Movement, People’s Survival Program, OWS Zapatista, and One Struggle.

DGR UK members help organize Reclaim the Power resulting in thirteen actions against the fracking industry. Members remain active with multiple events in the coming months.

DGR members organize community education events against water theft in coordination with indigenous allies in the Great Basin.

Members present to PIELC on Deep Green Resistance.

Second annual DGR gathering takes place in Crescent City, CA. Members record footage for Conversations on an Underground Resistance.

DGR Great Basin organizes two-day training called Communities of Resistance.

DGR Eugene and DGR New York participate in marches and local actions for climate justice.

April 2013

DGR Great Plains members participate in marches and actions against the Klu Klux Klan in Memphis, Tennessee.

May 2013

Two DGR members are arrested for their work against Natural Gas Fracking and genocide against indigenous communities. Fundraising efforts to support these people commence.

Members again travel to the Unis'tot'en camp to support the land-based anti-extraction resistance of the Wet'suwet'en people.

June 2013

Members present Resistance Rewritten during a speaking tour of the east coast. (View video.)

Members participate in the Left Forum in New York City, speak on radio shows in Florida and Oregon, and participate in anti-logging efforts in Slovenia.

New chapters continue to organize around the world. The organization, which is composed of more than 30 chapters, is now active in at least 10 countries.

July 2013

DGR Middle Mississippia members help form Illinois South Resistance, to oppose fracking, coal mining, and other fossil fuel extraction.

DGR members and allies travel to northern California to respond to a call by the Winnemem Wintu tribe to protect a traditional coming-of-age ceremony for young women from disruptive, disrespectful, and potentially dangerous interruptions.

DGR Australia presents at and participates in Students of Sustainability conference.

August 2013

Members help organize women's radio programming in Colorado.

September 2013

DGR Great Basin continues to participate in organizing and in actions against tar sands and oil shale extraction in Utah.

Fall 2013

Multiple DGR chapters assist the Unis'tot'en Camp in fundraising efforts.

DGR members vocally support resistance at public meetings against coal export ports on the west coast of the U.S.

Members organize women's-only self defense classes for vulnerable communities of women in Eugene (Warrior Sisters) and in New York.

DGR Salish Sea organizes with members of IWASI (Indigenous Women Against the Sex Industry) against pornography and the sex trade.

DGR Slovenia organizes film screenings.

DGR New York begins hosting intensive cadre training events.

DGR Colorado members participate in a protest against the Suncor refinery with the American Indian Movement, local Occupy groups, and others.

DGR members participate in an anti-racism March for Justice in South Dakota, US.

June 2012

Members take part in a march and blockade to shut down White Clay, Nebraska, US, forcing concessions from the liquor stores engaged in illegal and immoral chemical genocide against the Lakota people of the Pine Ridge reservation.

Members present A Culture of Resistance East Coast Roadshow across the southeastern United States to promote the movement and the need for a militant underground.

July 2012

Members develop a set of Indigenous Solidarity Guidelines.

August 2012

DGR members and allies organize a speaking tour up the Pacific Northwest coast of the United States and Canada to raise support for the Unis’tot’en Action Camp near Moricetown, Canada, before attending the camp.

Five DGR members are arrested in White Clay, Nebraska for blockading genocidal liquor stores.

The book Deep Green Resistance: Strategy to Save The Planet, by Lierre Keith, Aric McBay, and Derrick Jensen, is released by Seven Stories Press.

The organization based on the book and the workshop begins to organize, and rapidly expands to over a dozen chapters worldwide.

October 2011

Dillon Thompson of DGR travels the west coast of the United States to promote the need for a militant underground movement.

DGR News Service established to promote aboveground and underground resistance and direct action.

November 2011

The authors of the Deep Green Resistance book speak to Occupy Oakland, and along with other friends and allies including Arundhati Roy, Thomas Linzey, Stephanie McMillan, and Waziyatawin, participate in the conference Earth At Risk: Building a Resistance Movement to Save the Planet.

April 2007

First Deep Green Resistance (DGR) workshop is held in Massachusetts. Nine additional workshops are held over the next five years.
